Artist Statement

I draw inspiration from diverse places where I have lived and loved, especially Denmark, Brazil, Australia and Fiji. Colours, shapes, textures, feelings and the little things that draw the big lines is what inspires me. The time and place becomes irrelevant. 

I love making art that is not confined by specific mediums or motifs, but instead is free to explore and travel the worlds of whatever little inspiring thing. Currently, I am infatuated by stairs, doors and openings, animals and architecture. 

Whatever my oil paintings, photographs, illustrations, embroideries, etchings makes you feel, it is exactly how it should be. I hope to give you the space to laugh, think, relax, feel, be free and travel to places whether it be far away or close by, imaginary places, your childhood or anywhere in between.
